I recently brewed a split batch NEIPA with 3 different yeasts and dry hops. So far so good....
Two of the kegs went in the kegerator but because of a problem with the temperature probe the ended being frozen almost solid. Both kegs have thawed fine but the beer is pretty tasteless. The 3rd keg that wadnt in the kegerator is really good!
Any ideas of how to add some flavour to the frozen kegs? Would a third fermentation, adding some yeast and sugar to the kegs, work? Or more dry hopping? Has anyone had a similar problem before and fixed it?

Greetings, @tomhiggs98! And welcome to the forums at Homebrew Talk :mug:

I have read of this phenomenon though not particularly with a hazy brew. I would imagine freezing is like the ultimate cold-crash and all your hoppy hazy goodness is sitting on the bottom of the keg. Perhaps inverting one of them for awhile might be worth a try to do something positive...

Cheers!

I froze a DIPA once and also observed a marked decrease in the overall hoppiness as well. Most likely the freezing causes a large number of the polyphenols and oils to come out of solution and settle out.

You maaaaaaybe could referment with another dry hop charge, but that's frankly half the cost and process of making a new batch anyways.

Sorry for your loss.

Freezing definitely does change character. I have a Blonde on tap that froze for some strange reason (keezer is set at 38). Wasn't crazy about it before freezing; pretty tasty now after it thawed.
