Rectangular manifold spacing, where to measure from

I am going to be switching to fly sparging this weekend and would like to make sure my manifold spacing is correct. The walls of the rectangular cooler are slightly tapered and the bottom is curved. Where do most measure for the manifold to wall spacing?
