[...]edit: WAIT! isn't glass an insulator? glass and vacuums?

Stick that mug in an oven set to "Burn The Living Hell Out Of Your Hand" aka 350°F for say 15 minutes then open the oven and grab that mug handle and get back to me about glass and thermal dynamics...

Cheers! (No, don't really do that please!)

And that would be wrong...

:p

well if you said "omg" in the quotes that would have been against forum guidelines and i would have reported the post.....omg, mine would have beat you'rs ! :mug:

Or maybe stick it in the fridge for an hour before you fill it with beer?

The Goodwill store is a great go-to for glasses of every description. Let's face it, everything is temporary especially stemware. There is a German saying that pertains to protecting those fine hefeweizen glasses: "Weissbier und frauen stossen weir von unten". Words to live by right there.

I think the purpose of that thick mug is to cheat customers. I used to drink at a bar that used those, and I doubt they held over 8 ounces.
