I have Rye PA recipe that i have been tweaking for several batches now. I have been brewing this in 5 gallon batches and tomorrow I am going to brew 10 gallons. My question is in my favorite version of the 5 gallon recipes I used a water to grain ratio of 1.5qt/ per Lb. This brew has an OG of 1.069 when scaled in beersmith I am now using 27.5 Lbs of grain. There is no way i can mash that at 1.5:1 in my 10 gallon cooler. The best i think i can do is about 1.1:1.
Will reducing the ratio effect the taste of the finished beer? I realise the efficiency may drop a little but will it play a factor in the taste.

No worries, do what you can. Just means you have more water to sparge with. You'll probably lose some efficiency, but attenuation / sugar profile shouldn't change much.
