aren't you from Florida?I blame northerners.
And no, Florida is not in the south.
Considering I haven’t lived there in 11 years, I don’t really consider myself Floridian.aren't you from Florida?
I had an Alchemist Holy Cow IPA yesterday. It was clear, piney, slightly malty and bitter. It was damn good. It tasted like beer.
SHOCKING
Had a Steel Toe Size 7 last night at a restaurant and it was a very nice change. Pine, citrus, bitter. Back on that haze today though.I had an Alchemist Holy Cow IPA yesterday. It was clear, piney, slightly malty and bitter. It was damn good. It tasted like beer.
SHOCKING
0.1% of beers made are these ridiculous colored, gimmicky beers = beer sucks

Based on everything I read on Facebook (screenshots of texts between the victim (Dedrick Flynn) and Nick Purdy, the owner of Wild Heaven and Paste [the website that used to be a magazine]), Wild Heaven was very slow to respond and very reluctant to give the name of the perpetrator (Scott B. Larimore). The police should have been called immediately and a report filed that afternoon, not the next day. The perpetrator is friends with Purdy and it's clear that Purdy was initially looking out for his friend rather than his employee. I don't see this ending well.http://www.decaturish.com/2018/04/w...eport-after-bartender-alleges-sexual-assault/
Bad look by Wild Heaven on this. Deleting FB comments is never gonna play well either.

It's not the beer/music/fighter/SmartToaster that bothers me. It's the loudmouth know-it-all dipshits who fall for the gimmicks over and over again. Go ahead and drink your canned Oreo "IPA" on your bean bag chair watching your BetaMax.I'm firmly on the side of "let people enjoy what they enjoy as long as it doesn't hurt you" and "glitter beer doesn't hurt me." However, I do think there's possibly an argument to be made for the continued drive toward "Instagram-worthy" consumables being an overall negative. I'm not sure I'm the one to make that argument, but I'm open to it if it's well-made. Just "this bothers me" isn't that argument though.

Etsy Beer™I don't really care what other people want to drink either, I hate the conversation around them. So much fragility and shitlording. I'd rather drink a pale ale with some guy repeating the IPA made to sail around the world myth than some shitlord telling me in the same breadth how only losers drink pils and the world needs more glitterbomb IPAs and another BA chile/cocoa/coffee/coconut/lactose stout for trade bait.
I wonder whether it's time to stop calling it craft beer. Craft beer was meant to produce beer that focused on the quality of the product rather than its ability to be sold. Does anybody really think these kinds of beers are brewed with quality first in mind or sales in mind? If it's just to produce a highly marketable product then what's the real difference between that and industrial light lagers?

New Realm re-opening Green Flash brewery. They recently bought all the equipment and are now leasing the building. Thems some pretty deep pockets, but smart if they can get people in the door.
Their beer any good?
I've only had the Euphonia pilsner and I thought it was really good, but I've heard mixed reviews of the rest of their lineup (mostly IPAs). The brewpub in Atlanta is regularly packed (it's a prime spot on the Beltline), so they aren't hurting for business, and Steele has teamed up with former big beer execs so I'd imagine they know what they're doing business-wise.https://www.brewbound.com/news/new-realm-brewing-reopen-former-green-flash-virginia-brewery-taproom

Jacky's Abby/Against the Grain IPA collab going in a different direction. Doesn't look appealing for different reasons than a Selsun Blue IPA.
