Not even sure if it's around bmore locally yet. Gonna make one stop to see if they have bottles. If not, whatever. No ***** given.

How much are these CBS bottles going for locally anyways (Up in MI i mean). Don't want to get ripped off.

As tehzachatak said, MSRP is supposed to be $25. Most stores in Grand Rapids are selling it for between $25 and $28. A few stores in the UP seem to have it for as low as $23.49. Most I've heard it selling for around here is $34.99. (Note: I've avoided retail, so I'm going off of Facebook posts in the local beer group.)

Here in my small town in VA I think we got 5-6 cases, they were doing 1 per person at 27$ a bottle. That's not bad considering they are charging 15$ a bottle for BCBS

I bought bottles this morning at a large chain grocery store (Marianos) in Chicagoland.

It's a crazy time we live in where the bottles of Bourbon County and Canadian Breakfast Stout I purchased this year didn't even come from a liquor store, but from large chain retailers where alcohol is only a small portion of the business.

Called a few places on my lunch break about CBS; they're not getting in any until next week at the earliest. On a hunch, I walked into a local liquor store and instead found three bottles of B-Bomb on the shelf, at which point they were promptly cleaned out.

That's a win in my book.

I have no idea what actual batches I've had of CBS, but I had it on tap the last three years and I thought it was very mapley every time. If the bottles are even approaching that ballpark I'll be pretty happy to buy a couple. Two years later, those left a bigger impression on me than Good Morning.
I don't think I've had it since 2011, and I've tried Good Morning, MD, and Double Stack in the meantime. Might have to crack one tonight to see how old money pastry tastes to my new money palate.

Who needs stouts when your local shop just got shipments of 3F and Tomes

That place in West Seattle?

Nope, not Super Deli Mart. A1 Hop Shop in Greenwood. Way more random ass than Super Deli. Glass pipes at the counter and people buying Four Loko cases. Plus bottles of Holy Mountain and Fremont barrel aged goodies.

Super Deli has killer sandwiches, btw.
