In for moose burgers.

My AK relatives will be disappointed that I didn't fly up for a visit, although if I did fly up, and they found out the reason for it, I would NEVER hear the end of it. I mean NEVER.

Ohhhhh, so people are only lining up outside 16 hours before, not 24.

That's sounds more reasonable.

I just read a bunch of this thread becaus the ******* Astros are sucking ass and I'm trying to avoid it.

The Ancorage line entered the building when they opened and they had 100 tickets left to pass out. So you could have just woke up after opening and still got a ticket.

Live Oak Hefe isn't a beer that falls off after 2 months. Just buy what you see and drink that ****.

Correa just got an RBI.

But boxset number 1 will have max resale value.

I hope they didn't number them. That'd be glorious.

Hope you stayed awake to the end...that was a crazy game.

I don't even understand the logic of this acquisition. Is it something like "we make a bunch of widely available beers with zero street cred, and can't for the life of us figure out how to brew something that'll catch the attention of beer geeks, so we bought a not especially well respected, widely distributed brewery who makes mostly average quality beer that is only modestly more exciting than our stuff?"

Because Clown shoes fairly well in Texas and some other markets where there is not great competition on the shelves. They also have the volume to sell alongside Harpoon beers.

Meh, I don't mind this but they better not "scale back" Clown Shoes out of Texas. I really like their barrel-aged beers. They tend to be readily available and are relatively cheap.

I pretty much only like their barrel aged stouts. Luchador en Fuego was a great beer.

Saw this posted in the replies to a Westbrook post about Maple Bourbon and Double Barrel Biscotti Cake Break:

"Never tried one of these before, what can I expect? Sweet? Bitter? Dry? Sour? Before I spend $50 on a bottle I'd like to have somewhat of a clue. Thx"

Doesn't even have a remote clue what the beer is, would still consider dropping $50 on a bottle.

Most imperial stouts are extremely dry and sour.
