On no planet outside of the deep dark anus of BA is a 2 month old beer considered too old. I think that's the point everyone here is getting at.

Today in ******* questions breweries get on social media - asking how bad one of that brewery's core beers is.

"Is Eureka as bad as everyone's saying? Making my first trip to @TreeHouseBrewCo and driving from NJ. Really bummed on the limit for julius"

"Hi, quick question. That beer you release called Eureka... is it garbage water or will I be able to trade it away for shelf lambics and other whalez.rar? Trying to gauge if it's worth coming out of my parents basement and spending all my paper route money on fueling up my mom's stationwagon to make the trek from NJ."

Everyone, I have a confession to make...

You know when a brewery posts a picture of their upcoming limited release beer on Facebook? Well, the person that frantically starts tagging all his "friends" from his tasting group...is me. They are all me.

You probably also see me posting "ISO!" on the posts of out of town Breweries. That is also me, and I try to be first every time.

Are you also the guy who will ask if said beer is being released in [STATE THAT BREWERY DOES NOT DISTRIBUTE TO]?

ISO: Tasting group

better yet,

ISO: Friends

Seems like he would be better equipped to tell you than us.

This reply was no help at all and completely useless.
Was it though? Your friend already bought it, so he really would be the best judge of whether the beer HE WAS DRINKING was good or not. Ya know, personal palates and all.

Clown Shoes seems to always fly under the radar in terms of hype, but they put out some kickass beers, especially for the money. Enjoying A Few More Unidragons, a bba stout for $14 and it is hitting all the right spots on my taste buds.
Agreed, Clown Shoes used to be one of my go-tos living in Boston before Trillium opened.

Yeah but he had bought it so it was only a matter of time. I think the point here is there was no point asking some strangers on the internet. But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, the question was asked and answered so there was no point in you commenting.
