I am firmly in the a growler is a growler is a growler camp. I just need ant880 to chime in on these glass crowlers.only to those of you in the Northeast... everywhere else a growler is a growler is a growler

in case anyone finds themselves in tel aviv, the dancing camel brewery was actually pretty solid. definitely beats the ubiquitous goldstar and maccabee.

The only other craft place I could find in Tel Aviv proper was BeerBazaar in Shuk HaCarmel. Wasn't crazy about their house beers but they had a broad selection of Israeli craft bottles, a couple were pretty good (some were a little on the old side though). Dug the Dancing Camel beers brewed with fresh mint (like the Shapiro collab). There are a number of frankly more solid options within Israel, but Dancing Camel is certainly a reasonable option, and one of the more readily available craft picks at that. From my modest experience with Israeli craft beer, I haven't had anything bad, but I also haven't had anything great. Their beers cluster are consistently solid but unmemorable.
Almost back to Boston now, but unfortunately wasn't able to get to Shuk HaCarmel while it was open (was working Sunday through Thursday, and did trips on the weekend). Managed to get to Jerusalem, the West Bank, Nazareth, Tiberias, and the Sea of Galilee though. Jaffa was great too, and an easy 25 minute walk from my hotel. Not beer related, but enjoy Tel Aviv! One of my favorite cities on the planet. Hacarmel market is a must if you have not been there yet.

This **** is getting ridiculous. Can we please just go back to when beer looked and tasted good?

I've seen worse commercial examples. Please tell me this is the work of some homebrew club, and not something commercially available.
Nope. This is a brewery in the central valley. Was a pretty good brewery until the owner retired, sold everything, and then went roadtripping across the country. Please tell me this is the work of some homebrew club, and not something commercially available.

And yes, local craft beer is now the name or the brewery.
