in case anyone finds themselves in tel aviv, the dancing camel brewery was actually pretty solid. definitely beats the ubiquitous goldstar and maccabee.

There are a number of frankly more solid options within Israel, but Dancing Camel is certainly a reasonable option, and one of the more readily available craft picks at that. From my modest experience with Israeli craft beer, I haven't had anything bad, but I also haven't had anything great. Their beers cluster are consistently solid but unmemorable.

Not beer related, but enjoy Tel Aviv! One of my favorite cities on the planet. Hacarmel market is a must if you have not been there yet.

The only other craft place I could find in Tel Aviv proper was BeerBazaar in Shuk HaCarmel. Wasn't crazy about their house beers but they had a broad selection of Israeli craft bottles, a couple were pretty good (some were a little on the old side though). Dug the Dancing Camel beers brewed with fresh mint (like the Shapiro collab).

Almost back to Boston now, but unfortunately wasn't able to get to Shuk HaCarmel while it was open (was working Sunday through Thursday, and did trips on the weekend). Managed to get to Jerusalem, the West Bank, Nazareth, Tiberias, and the Sea of Galilee though. Jaffa was great too, and an easy 25 minute walk from my hotel.

Looks like you had a great trip! I hope you enjoyed it. If you ever find yourself in Israel again I cannot recommend visiting Haifa enough. Such a great city, and equally as enjoyable as Tel Aviv.

A lot of breweries are still doing normal beer and then sprinkling the stupid **** in to get sales. I'm cool with it as long as the regular good beer is still good.

Hazy beer isn't going to last. That well will dry up once every brewery sells it and the shitlords realize it's not as profitable.

Please tell me this is the work of some homebrew club, and not something commercially available.
Nope. This is a brewery in the central valley. Was a pretty good brewery until the owner retired, sold everything, and then went roadtripping across the country.
And yes, local craft beer is now the name or the brewery.
