I haven't had it in 4 years but I thought it was really nice.Eh good point. Abraxas was disappointing but not bad. I had a seriously hot quad and a kind of hot wit today that were just terrible

Aleworks (around the corner from Russian River) made a great one way back in the day.Has anyone ever made a good chili beer?
I just got back from a chili festival and, as you'd expect, all the beer was pretty spicy.
That **** does nót work

Just did bottle inventory after telling everyone I've been buying less and drinking more recently to drink down the cellar.
Inventory went UP to 257 bottles...

Chili stouts: Abraxas/Huna/Mexicake>>>>>first couple batches of Bomb!>>>>>>everything else
And not infected Mayan Mocha.Agree with your assessment but will put in a honorable mention for Mexican Siberius Maximus. Would probably lump it in with the top 3.
A buddy of mine chugged a Punishment for $50.Remember Stone's Crime and Punishment? Undrinkable ****

I can't confirm which is worse. They are both just awful.Which one is worse; Crime or Punishment? I did the old slamma jamma just for grins with 1 of them immediately after its release and still have the other one to do the same. I kinda want to say it was punishment I did it with thinking it was the hotter of the 2 so my followup chug wouldnt be as bad. I can confirm it hurts more on the way out... wish I had "buddies" who would pay me $50 for all the dumb **** I do for free.

As much hate as the guy gets but I thought Wakefield's Desperado was a lot better than Mexicake and Huna.Chili stouts: Abraxas/Huna/Mexicake>>>>>first couple batches of Bomb!>>>>>>everything else

Agree with this.. Though I've never had the BA version, I thought the regular was best stout in that style (non BA) I've ever had.Spiteful's Malevolence Chocolate Caliente deserves a spot on the list, it's as good as the three you listed. The BA version is better than BA Huna and BA Mexicake too, coming in a close second for me after (2014) BA Abraxas
I had a few bottles, opened the last in 2015 and it was oxidized AF.There was a Jester King beer called Whiskey Rodeo that was pretty great from what I remember. This was 2011 and probably before its time as far as that style goes.

Jester King put on a keg last year during the Super Bowl that was apparent great though.
