Don't get your hopes up, I have no idea what kind of a **** show it's going to be, and I'm going to a bottle share about 90 minutes away the night before. A lot will depend on how drunk I get and how that impedes waking up the next morning.

Will Thanksgiving weekend keep the crowds down? I'd like to hope so, but it's Craft Beer 2016 so I doubt it.

All the neckbeards are hankering for bcbs on Black Friday so hopefully that keeps them away from that release. Fingers crossed.

I thought I was reading a post from dontdrinkbeer with these immaculate stock photos. No wait it's an actual serious post from a brewery....marketing is clearly Al's strong suit.

ironically enough I am still blocked from their accounts for reviewing an "onsite only" bottle of Afternoon Delight back in 2012

getting too old for this ****.

"a new beer out that is only available on tap called Lambic Pale Ale. Jason Credaro, head brewer, inoculated a pale ale with lactobacillus and pediococcus (both types of bacteria) and brettanomyces (a wild yeast strain) before leaving it in barrels for 18 months. I suspect this beer will be a tough one to find but well worth trying if you do see it, the sourness is pretty mellow and makes the whole beer pretty refreshing"

The release is on Saturday though I believe. I'm not familiar with Wicked Weed or Asheville at all, but with 230 or so allotments, is this a type of release that one must be in line at the ass crack at dawn to have a fighting chance in getting this?

About 30-40 in line now. One has a sweet Eno setup

I can't be the only one who thinks lining up for a Wicked Weed beer is ridiculous, can I?

On the plus side, they do provide free coffee and doughnuts! ;)

I generally agree (I haven't been to a Wicked Weed release in years where I didn't have a pre-sale ticket), but as far as beer releases go theirs are usually pretty smooth, and you can usually show up well after the start and get bottles. Probably not this time.

What I -really- don't get is people who line up like 6 hours early for Green Man releases...
