SeaWatchman I haven't yet leaned moar at http://www.lambic.info/Home but I will! As God as my witness, I WILL!!!

I think a lot of people are like this but it's credit instead of cash. There is no way in hell everyone can afford the ridiculous costs (secondary market prices, trading/shipping, etc) associated with this "hobby".
lel if you're using credit for a hobby you're doing it so, so wrong

If I had to even think about craft beer in relation to my overall financial stability, I wouldn't drink. The though of someone using credit makes me cringe.
Getting my priorities in line was a two year process. I wanted to buy a house. Two years ago, it became apparent I couldn't seek out every hyped beer to hit shelves in my area. Combine this with a new hyped beer coming out from every cow town around the country and it was easy to see the chase wasn't close to worth the time or the money. My FOMO faded away and I no longer care if I miss out on the latest hype-whale. Now I own a house and I'm content with my meager Bourbon County haul and dropping a few hundred dollars at Schramms every 2-3 months instead.

#teamtasty

I bought all the beer for my wedding from there shortly after they opened. My sister went to high school with one of the owners I think. Glad to see it is still doing well!

The people who work at the Asheville store are awesome. We were kind of fed up with the crowds at the Funkatorium so just hung out over there and had an awesome time shooting the **** with the great staff and customers.

I love catching up on all the posts from Raleigh friday night!
pgh_penguins did we actually meet that night? JulianB fiestaplatypus nice meeting ya and thanks for the shares.

I'll add my $.02 on the ABVMZ mess...
had pours from 2 different bottles. the bottles tasted nothing alike and the better tasting of them was merely good at best.
but what do I know?

Right back 'atcha. I'll certainly be back next year, at least for the bottle share.

Wouldn't an Imperial Session IPA just be an IPA?

I call dibs on brewing a Session Session IPA. It's really just 1.5% hop water.

I would call it Double Session, but people would mistake that for a regular IPA as well.

He'Brew already did a "session Double IPA" that was about 7.5%. It wasn't very good, just like the rest of their catalogue.

As far as that beer itself goes, I really want to think that "Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, and Experimental hops" will be really good, but I'm expecting the verdict will be "tastes like basically every other hoppy Sierra Nevada beer".
They'll do everything they can to prematurely package it, ensuring age makes that happen.

You're probably right, but at least they're also trying some new things, right?

Sweet Sunny South is:

A table saison with corn grits, black tea, honeysuckle, peach, papaya, guava and prickly pear.

I'm not sure if we're drinking beer anymore.
