Likewise, pleasure meeting you! Best thing about that share was all the new and old ticks, and I don't mean the beers. Great crowd there and super-generous. Really almost too generous, the reason I got so trashed is there was constantly someone new offering me a pour of a bottle so I was practically chugging to keep up.

What about the other 30 times you died? So far you are the official poster boy for over consumption at beer events.

Keep up the good work!

Add in Habanero Sculpin and Thai Chili Lime Ginger Wahoo Wheat (which hasn't been bottled yet, but I'd love it if it were), along with Indra Kunindra I suppose.

At least they (generally) do a good job of it.
Yeah, they should do a special beer just for charity. Make it super Rare.

But for it to be a super-rare charity-worthy beer it has to be barrel-aged, and I've heard (no experience with them myself) that BP's barrel-aging program ******* sucks (or at least used to). That discussion may be somewhere earlier in this thread actually.

EDIT: found it http://www.talkbeer.com/community/t...f-about-selling-beer.11553/page-3#post-295065

Any SD peeps want to chime in if they've gotten better?

I figured it was a sarcastic joke. :) My post was half-joking as well, just tingled a memory about that discussion of Ballast Point's barrel-aging and was curious if anything had changed.
Joking aside, I honestly can't remember the last time I had something BA from Ballast Point. The only one I can remotely remember was BA Victory at Sea, and I don't remember what I thought of it when I had it.

A few years ago, as a result of a mass banning over at BeerAdvocate, a new forum-only website called BeerTrading.org started up. They changed it to TalkBeer.com, likely to accurately portray what the site is about. You will notice the discussion board software is identical to BeerAdvocate forums. The community as it stands is made up of veteran beer traders and beer drinkers, dealing with higher stake trading, and talk of the most cutting edge, sought after beers in the world. I pop my head in there, and even have friends from there that I’ve met in person. There is a lot of heavy-handed critique, insider talk and inside jokes, so if you aren’t ready for that, you might be scared off. The rules are very laxed, unlike BeerAdvocate, as many comments are met with a funny animated gif or meme.

Bottom line: This is the deep end of the pool as far as beer communities go. I like the board, but you have to know what you are getting into and it’s not for everyone.
