Currently, what is the oldest beer in your house?
Facebook reminded me that 10 years ago today I bought a case of Guinness' 250th Anniversary Stout. I actually still have one bottle around for I guess novelties sake.
But I believe the oldest beer I have in the house is a 2007 Dogfish Head Olde School Barleywine.

I have a bottle of Westy of an indeterminate age, based on the cap it's mid-80's to early 90's. So either that or a 1990 JW Lees depending on how old the Westy actually is...
I'm curious what jedwards answer would be.
Might as well share the post since it’s not friends only....
If you like Triple Bock you probably haven't had one in the last 5 years.
Woof.
The synthetic cork thing is overblown, I've had fine bottles that have it and bad bottles that don't.'07 3F OG. Got it for my son's birth year. Unfortunately it has the synthetic cork so it's probably vinegar by now.
Can I invite myself over when you open that bad boy?In the actual house (well, apartment) right now it's a 1983 Courage I was going to open on my birthday but, uh, forgot to. In the cellar it's 1869 (Bass Ratcliffe).
A buddy opened one of these last year and it was the one of the most oxydized beers I've ever had. Tasted like pure cardboard. Bleh. Sad because that one was killer when it was first released.Thrash Metal

Probably something from the 70s. The 1870s, that is.

I’m not sure which of the three is the actual oldest bottle but I have a JK Black Metal and Thrash Metal, both with silver cap so they’re around 2011 and I have a 2011 Boulevard Chocolate Ale from the infected batch. I don’t know what to do with any of these bottles so they just sit there.
I actually vomited a bit at thisCuvee all three and chug

Mine is probably a Beatification from either 2014 or 2015. I drank almost all of my older stuff when I moved up to Portland, and stopped buying stuff to "cellar." I don't need to start collecting beers again.Currently, what is the oldest beer in your house?

My buddy got rid of a bunch of garbage beer by leaving it on the sidewalk in Oakland. I'm sure it found a good home.a couple months ago i drain poured like 6 cases of garbage like this.
it felt so good.
