Here lately I've fallen in love with Milwaukee's Best Light. Crisp and clean 96 calories that doesn't have the skunky/corn aftertaste most macros suffer from.
This is my problem with a lot of macros. After two of them, it's all I can taste. PBR is my go to for that reason. I can deal with the metallic taste if it's not canned corn. Prefer Modelo Negra if it's a barbecue or all day eat-a-thon type of get together.

I don't know if it counts as a "macro" or not, but Kokanee (lager brewed in BC by a subsidiary of Labatt, so it probably should) is my favorite beer of the macro lager style. I think a lot of it is just psychological factors related to past memories and experiences etc., but I was back home in BC last week drinking a bunch of it with old friends and enjoying the hell out of it. Perfect ski resort hot tub beer.

I don't know how "macro" it is (it's at least everywhere here in the Mid-Atlantic) but Narragansett Lager is a banging AAL and is cheap as all heck.

Same price for a 30 rack as High Life. One of my favorite craft bars around me had gansett on draft as their AAL line instead of the usual macros. Loved it.

was a sad day indeed when Narragansett disappeared from local shelves (upper midwest) about 2 years ago
