Butterfly Pea Blossoms can turn one of 2 colors. If the solution is acidic, such as a mead or berlinner, you get bluey purple. If it is basic, you get magenta. My guess is bro is unaware of this, and just threw the blossoms into a NEIPA and hoped for the best.
Proof that neipas are ******* basic.

Has anyone here had a Brut IPA? Sounds like hop water, but maybe...maybe it works?
Mikkeller has a beer called Nelson Sauvin Brut. It's probably the best beer they ever make - but last I checked, it's $17 for a 750mL of what is essentially an overattenuated DIPA.

That’s a very different beer...pretty sure it’s a Bier de champagne w/ Nelson
According to the flavor profile in the article, it sounds pretty similar - at least to what I remember it tasting like. What would be the major differences?

It's a biere de champagne, tastes nothing like a DIPA. Are you confusing it with something else?
...maybe? It was super-dry upfront, with a super light sweetness, followed by a dominant hop backbone at the end, similar to a West Coast IPA.

This was also like six years ago, when I still had a baby dick palate - so I could be way off the mark.

The ABV and aging process first and foremost. Not sure if Nelson Sauvignon went through the disgorgement process, but it definitely has champagne yeast and also was wine barrel aged. From what I'm gathering, this IPA brut is just an IPA with enzymes added to dry it out...not necessarily champagne yeast, and definitely not long term aging in casks.

For $10 a sixer, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing is pretty solid

Eh

This has been my go-to 6-pack beer ever since it came out.

I wish I had picked it up when I first saw it in stores a month or two ago but they don't date the boxes. Took a chance on it for Sunday and it's really enjoyable. Two months old too

Wait a ******* second. Is this truly a thing?

I swear to Christ if you link me to something akin of “Methode Tradionale” or some ****, I’ll smack you square in the nuts.

It is a thing but not very common. As far as I know almost nobody is doing it in the authentic méthode Champenoise way (sry, don't smack me). The only really traditional ones I've had are Bosteels Deus and Enlightenment Brut. I'm not sure if Mikkeller was removing the yeast from the bottles, but it's certainly not an authentic biere de champagne in the cans.

Fair. Smack withdrawn. Yeah, I can’t see a beer being riddled, particularly an IPA lol. May be an interesting approach to a Saison or something though.

****, I hate myself for typing that.
