What about Russian River or Alesmith?
I don't know Alesmith's thoughts, though they seem very well set financially and operationally.

I don't believe Russian River would ever sell. Partially from an integrity standpoint, but also massively from a trying not have any debt-holders, which is what they've been doing instead of expanding for the last five years.

Wasnt sure about Alesmith, just threw it out there because they seem to be one of the larger west coast breweries that could potentially be bought up.

And yeah I knew about Russian River paying back their debt-holders instead of expanding but it looks like they are trying to expand now so I wasnt sure if in the process of expansion a buy out could be possible.

Off to the US tomorrow with this in my hold luggage. It's definitely seen better days - are 12-shippers in robust boxes like this easy to find in NY/VT? I figure I should probably replace it for the way home.

In you listen carefully, faintly, in the distance, you can hear the "Cigar City Sucks!" chants starting up again.
Some say you can still hear a ghostly banging on the garage door at CCB when no one is there, and catch the faintest glimpse of red in the corner of your eye.

The owner of CCB said this a year ago:

Maybe it could be a Lagunitas situation
"They don't do partial investments; they'd want to buy the whole thing," Redner says. "And that's something I'm not personally comfortable with. I like being an owner."

It would be a year later that Mr. Redner realized being an owner wasn't all that great when he was handed a golden ticket from InBev in the form of 1.5 billion dollars.

"It's fantastic", Redner opined, "I get to take this money and start working with something I really love, vintage POGs."
He continued, "I was a bit skeptical at first, but then I remembered Huna day 2014 and thought to myself, '**** these guys'. Here I have a golden opportunity to hook into the largest distribution chain in the country and simultaneously eject myself from the shitlordery that is craft beer. It's really a win-win for everyone. Our loyal fans still get the same beer they've always been getting, I get to focus on my true passion of vintage POGs, and InBev gets to increase their stranglehold on the market under the guise of better distribution benefiting the beer community."

Redner then did a sick 180 flip on his Razor scooter, gave a wink and a thumbs up, and scooted off into the sunset with a large bright green binder of rare vintage POGs nestled snugly under his right arm.

La Cumbre Elevated - another middle-of-the-road IPA that would've been outstanding 10 years ago. Good to have them in our market, I had to ask for my 4 pack because it wasn't on shelves yet. I feel cool because a guy got it out of the back for me. Tastes like Illumination and Double Trouble had a baby.

If that beer is "middle of the road" to you, then you're living a good life. It's a damn good beer.

******* beer geeks are so spoiled.

2010: Racer 5 is overrated
2011: I don't get the Sculpin hype
2012: Why is Celebration so highly rated?
2013: Zombie Dust sucks
2014: Heady Topper is mediocre at best
2015: Every IPA that was not released for the first time this year tastes like the back of a hobo's balls
2016: ...and so forth.

2016: year of the IPA that's canned with all the dead yeast and hop sludge that you can handle.

.... Two Hearted ***** on La Cumbre Elevated. This beer is nothing special. WTF are you talking about being "spoiled", everyone has better local options than IPA brewed a state away and if you don't think so then you aren't looking hard enough. Or you possibly live in Utah. Either way, you can have all my share of La Cumbre you want. I'll stick to Superpower and Juicy Banger.

I drink Two Hearted way more than I should. But I would never say it "***** on" the other beer. What the **** does that even mean? They're two different beers and I find both of them to be enjoyable.

You may be missing the point of beer here, dude.
