Yeah, obviously half an hour in the car is silly, but now I do wonder about periods as short as 2 weeks.

I would say it depends mostly on the hop varietal. Some hops fade fast (crystal, citra, mosaic, etc) and some last longer (cascade, simcoe, hallertau).

This is obviously one of many factors, but in my experience this is the biggest factor.

I'm pretty sure SN did a bunch of tests and found there was a noticeable drop in 3 days from packaging but then no real change after 3 months, then a drop again. But they do a crap load of work shutting oxygen out so it's probably different per brewery.

Which would probably have more impact than the ingredients themselves I reckon.

Another non-scientific, anecdotal, probably confirmation-bias opinion: I find that generally cans hold up better than bottles.

It was packaged for a brother of a spouse of my wife's 2nd cousin, I think that makes it an unrealized dream come true to someone I think I met for 5 minutes in the past ten years.

True story: I once left a bottle of Black Ops in my trunk for over a year, complete with temperature swings of 100° with high humidity in the summer to below zero in the winter.

It was the best bottle of Black Ops I've ever had.

SNPA will taste great 100 days old.
Citra, Nelson, Mosaic hopped beers, nope.
