Hopslam has been lacquery-sweet for the past few years every time I've had it, it doesn't have enough hop bitterness for me to balance that out. And that's not because I exclusively like tropical fruit juice IPAs either. Had a Blind Pig a few days ago on draft and it reminded me how it's one of my top 5 or so IPAs.

Do you think the honey helps takes the bitter edge off of the beer?

Hop JuJu from fat head is my favorite IIPA that is seasonal around these parts. It hits all those feels of a hoppy piney IPA
I have a friend who's in a group that's gotten a few of them, and every one I've tried has been just like the rest of Prairie's BA beer: underwhelming.

I think every prairie beer tastes like pennies.

They make shelfie stouts that taste about the same and cost less than most breweries special releases. Bomb was easy to get and really good. They kind of ran it into the ground with birthday Bomb and all that garbage though.

Hop juju is an all time great. This is the first year I didn't have any shipped to me in like 4 years. What an amazing beer.

Blind Pig is so good.

The only IPA I really drink anymore - outside of Two Hearted - is Fat Head’s Head Hunter. That beer never disappoints. Every time I visit my parents in Pittsburgh, I grab the freshest case that I can find. I’d say that and Blind Pig are my favorite accessible hoppy beers of all time.

I responded to Julian before I read this.

Fat Head’s rules.

Ohio doesn't have a bunch of places that distro the haze but the west coast ipas are pretty good.
Fresh HH, 2H, White Rajah and Bodhi round out my Top 4.

I'd add Tropicala in there from Creature Comforts. That would be my go to if it was available here.

So I'm stuck with everything else on your list and mystic mama from Jackie O's

I drink the local WA and OR haze, but I always return to good ol' Bodhi...

Oh wait, you were talking about the OTHER Bodhi.

**** I just realized I'll be able to drink Bodhi when I go to Columbus next month.

I prefer Johnny Utah, but that is a good one.

4 packs of cans come out next month. Should have no problem helping out if you want some.

I'm pretty sure everyone on tb knows this, but head hunter is to me what two hearted is to steimie . Last weekend I struck up a conversation with a guy while stupidly waiting in line for a local new hot brewery to release their anniversary beers.

Him: what beers are you most excited for?
Me: the one ipa sounds good. i just want a mix of stuff to try. i had nothing else to do today.
Him: im glad they put out so many neipas
Me: yeah they're good, but i'll take head hunter any time over a hazy ipa
Him: what???? no way dude. that style of ipa is too bitter. doesn't taste like an ipa
Me: hey can you hold my beer for a minute so I can punch you across your stupid ******* face?

Got married in Pittsburgh. Didn’t have many requests, but we sure as hell had Head Hunter at my wedding.

I have been very meh on Bodhi the last few times I've had it. Also, Columbus's flagship IPA used to be a go-to whenever I was in Ohio, but they ****** that one up too. I don't buy it anymore.

I went to a lot of trouble getting beers for our wedding. Cuvee Rene Kriek, Upright Pathways Saison, Kern Just Outstanding and Big Bad Baptist. Then a buddy brought a Doggie Claws magnum (or maybe a 3L).

I had maybe one pour all night.

With the exception of those infected ones back in the day.

I bought both the infected vanilla and coffee of their OG infected noir batches. That was the last time I bought Prairie beers.

Everything that's been handed to me since as the "you will definitely change your mind about Prairie it's so good" beer has not changed my mind about their beers. QC is still terrible and the beers are underwhelming for their price. I've seen too many people open Prairie bottles, have chunks of adjuncts fall into the glass and then be told this is a really good beer. Nope.

Interestingly, I don't think I've bought a Prairie beer since I bought the best Prairie beer I've ever had, AB Noir.

How recently was this? They just started distrobution in my area and they taste very good to me.

Last had Bodhi this past summer. Just didn't do it for me anymore. However, I retract my statement about Columbus IPA. Forgot I had it again when I was in Ohio at the beginning of December and it was pretty good. It was even like 2 months old at that point (had it at a bowling alley). It did go thru a rough patch though.

Nice man didn't know they were doing cans, I'll touch base once they are released. Thank you.
