Hey all,

I made a yeast starter from washed yeast slurry a little over a week ago (following mr malty calculator). Well I didn't get to brew over the weekend like I wanted to, so I plan on using it this saturday or sunday. I let the yeast starter ferment out over 3 days on a stir plate, and then set it in the fridge.

My question is, should I pour off the beer, and make some more wort to get the yeast ready again? Or do you think its fine after sitting in the fridge for a week.

Its wyeast 3944 belgian wit, 5.5gal batch with estimated OG of 1.060.

Thanks!

Your starter should still be good after a week in the frig. To double check, put your numbers into Yeastcalc for confirmation.

I do this all the time, and have had starters sitting in the fridge for two weeks without any issues. Just let the starter warm to your pitching temps and decant right before you pitch.
