Hey everyone,

So I just mashed up my blueberries for the next batch that will be made tonight. Ok so... approx. how many oz of puree should i put for a 5 gallon batch? Also, what kind of hops would one recommend for a blueberry ale? And just to get this out again, I should add the puree after boiling the extract? Take it off the burner and add it at a steady temp of around 150 degrees?

i've not done a blueberry ale myself, but here is a thread with some info

looks like about 5 lb of berries/puree woudl be good. I'd go very subtle on the hops as blueberry flavor is subtle and you don't want to drown it out. So any hops should just be a bit of bittering, so doesn't really matter what kind, just no cascades/centennial etc. Maybe a fuggle or hallertau, warrior is pretty neutral too.
