Until now I bottled everything, but I just managed to get online some mini kegs and a C0 charger/tap.

The question is:

After I tap the keg how long should I expect the Beer/Cider to be drinkable?

I have had beers on tap for months. As long as it does not oxidize you are fine. Keep it sealed and filled with Co2 and there are no worries. Of course IPAs hoppyness will fade, and the heavier beers will get better with age.

I just wasnt sure of the reliability of the seal created by inserting the tap through the snug rubber bung at the top.

but they are only 5l kegs, I assume they would never last more than 2-3 weeks max, I was just worried that after I tap them with the beer dispenser i have (beerking, can find it pretty fast on google image search) they might only last a day or 3.

Thanks for the input!
