Question about the Dark Star 2.0 burner

Sorry if this is a total newbie question, but I am totally new to not just brewing, but also to using propane in general. I am trying to set up my new Dark Star 2.0 burner and the connection on the hose does not thread in all the way. Is this normal or safe to use? The instructions say to only hand tighten as to not strip the threading, but it won't screw in any further.

Sorry if this is a totally ridiculous question, but I've never used propane before.

Looks a little loose to me. I just took a look at mine and I don't see any threads showing. IIRC, I did use a wrench to gently snug it up.

if it doesn't go in further (could be a funky thread), I wouldn't be worried about it.
