I racked a barley wine to secondary 2 weeks ago, it was in primary for 5 weeks. The secondary now has a good inch of sediment at the bottom. Is this normal?

I am planing on keeping it in the secondary untill the winter, at which time I will bottle it. Should I consider racking to a new carboy to get it off the sediment now?

Nothing added. I've read its normal for secondary, but not sure its good to leave it with the sediment for so long since I'll be aging it for at least another 8 months.
