Just recently set up a new kegerator, and I had hooked up my co2 tank outside of the fridge initially just to test all of my kegs and make sure that they sealed. After putting the co2 tank and regulator in the fridge, I noticed that the ideal indicating how much pressure was in the co2 tank dropped rather significantly, as in a few hundred psi...

Is this normal? I expected it to drop a bit, but not that much...

Yeah. Temp drops and presume drops. Mine reads that I need to order new gas but I just refilled the tank 2 days ago.

Whew, I was nervous for a second haha. Like I said, I expected it to read slightly lower, but not THAT much lower.

Thanks :)

The critical temperature for CO2 is 31C, so small temperature changes result in big pressure moves.
