I'm using the EZ Water Calculator spreadsheet to try to adjust my water. I'm trying to determine what my Alkalinity (CaCO3 ppm) is, but my water report lists out two different CaCO3 varieties:
Alkalinity, bicarbonate as CaCO3: 140 PPM
Alkalinity, carbonate as CaCO3: 6.5 PPM

Which one should I be inputing in to the spreadsheet or should I add them together?

It is probably, though not certain without talking to an analyst at the lab to confirm, that these are the components of alkalinity attributable to, respectively, the carbonate and bicarbonate ion and that the total alkalinity is, therefore, the sum. Use the sum.

OK cool, thanks for the feedback. For anyone googling this in the future, the water report in question is EBMUD for 2012, serving the SF east bay, San Leandro in particular.
