Hey peeps. only 2nd brew day on my new rig. Using Beersmith2. Did a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone... had no clue what my efficiency would be. followed the recipe as it was. Recipe called for roughly 75% efficiency. Beersmith is sayin im closer to 85% as this batch came out around 7% abv. Decent problem to have but id rather know what imgoing to end up with so ill adjust my efficiency till i nail it down. what other factors should i consider besides lowering the obvious lowering the grain bill etc? Beer came out rediculously drinkable.

That looks damn good for your second brew.

Welcome to the addiction.... err I mean hobby.

Just keep taking notes and reading everything you can. This place is a great wealth of good information.

But you are off to a great start.

Thx peeps. Like all of us, trying to make it as expected. Think I got lucky. Lol

Congrats looks good! What recipe did you use? Looks very clear for a second brew!

That looks great! Is it Extract, or AG? I wouldn't change anything if it tastes as good as it looks.

Used a recipe from Brewers Friend site. I did cold crash the batch, with gelatin. Thanks again. Tastes great, think I'll cut back a little and brew that again. It may be a mainstay on tap lol...

So is it a bit drier since you had a higher attenuation? Looks awesome man! I may have cheated a bit my first brew is a nice dark heavy Porter ;)
