RIP Growler Guys
I’m going to miss getting a burrito and going nextdoor to GG. Does Modern Times let you bring in outside non-vegan food?
Legally they don’t have to, and logically no. Can you bring in outside food to restaurants?I’m going to miss getting a burrito and going nextdoor to GG. Does Modern Times let you bring in outside non-vegan food?

Anyway, might swing by all those places today. Going to bat cleanup for all of these events that happened yesterday. I’m assuming a lot of stuff will still be on at Bailey’s too.
A lot of them are still on and I assume the remainder will be rotated through in the next couple weeks. The 2009 Adam and 2009 Old Foghorn are particularly tasty.
I’m not going to lie, I might like the Chuckanut Oat Lager just as much.
I popped into the Bucket recently and the stock is certainly dwindling. however, I ran into their crew at De Garde on Sunday and they were blending BT5, so that's a bonus.
Getting back to Growler Guys. Do you have inside info that they're going out of business? I don't see any mention of it anywhere on social media.
Made a low-key trip to Portland over the past few days, mostly visited my aunt and her family but was able to grab a few with teddyarrowhead and falc0n2600 at Upper Lip, which was fun. Also checked out Wayfinder - it takes a lot for a newer place to impress me but damn they certainly did.
I wish I was joking. I can't remember the last time I was there and saw more than 5 people in the place. I stopped by on Saturday and noticed they have reduced the taps to 20 now. Makes sense since many beers are on for a month or more.
Apparently Burnside Brewing abruptly closed. Seems like they hadn't been paying rent. Turned out to be a bad idea.

I thought they were ok, never made great beer, but I could find a decent one usually.I feel bad for the employees, but I never understood how that place stayed in business. I've had some of my worst beers in Portland there.
This article has a different spin, saying the building owner terminated the lease because he wants to sell the building, but that doesn't really explain the not making payroll thing and saying they're completely out of business. I would think if it was a landlord thing, they'd say something about trying to find a different place. I'm sure we'll get more info over the next couple of weeks.
Yeah, I saw that. That's why I though the article was interesting. Definitely trying to put some spin on it to make them not look like ********, it seems. This was linked in that reddit post, and seems to contradict the reporting in that article.
