That brewery has some connection to my hometown of Redding. However, I haven't seen their beer around here in at least 10 years.

And shocker, it wasn't very good.

The moderator who made the post I screenshotted made a thread concerning the situation, got called out for coming off as not an awesome person, then deleted it when it didn't go the way he wanted. What a wimp.

That's one of the reasons why that site continues to provide a subpar experience--there's no way to have a constructive conversation about hot button issues either because of responses made by troglodytes, draconian moderation, or both.

I've met him before in person, had a beer with him a few years ago at Apex. He's a nice guy but clearly from a different generation than myself and probably not as in touch with how society is shifting in regards to sexual harassment and listening to victims.

My gripe with that dude has always been his inability to be succinct. He always says in 1000 words what he could have said in 100.

But now my gripe with him is he's an out of touch, unapologetic victim blamer.

And **** BA for nuking that thread. God ******* forbid something controversial is discussed. I mean, besides Heady vs. Pliny.

I've mostly become accustomed to rising beer prices, but I can't front, **** is expensive AF now. I'm starting to curb my beer consumption partially for health reasons but also because I can't afford to keep up. If IPAs ever go up to $30 a 4-pack, I'm out.

Canned IPAs ARE crazy expensive. At least I can buy singles of them at most bottle shops unless it’s something I know I really like.

$25 for a four-pack of subpar Spirit Crusher from the last release at Holy Mountain was definitely not awesome.

Yeah, I found it interesting that the initial post didn't get wiped out. I almost wonder if they don't realize it.

They've started locking everything from last year and want yearly threads for topics. Seems like some cost cutting cheap ass measures.

Yeah I have never understood the desire to have yearly threads. At least it's better than the quarterly ones they required before.

I read his original post before he deleted it and couldn't believe what he had typed. How can anyone today think that asking a female co-worker to show her ****s isn't sexual harassment and a reason to be fired. That just blows my mind. He's the one who needs therapy, and not the victim like he said.

I just read her account of the story on New School Beer, and it's incredibly sad. Won't be going to WCGC anymore.
