I'm making a clone recipe, even though I'm generally against clones, but this is actually because the brewery that makes the beer doesn't distribute to where I live. It's a porter by Georgetown Brewery (http://georgetownbeer.com/products#porter). Given the information provided by Georgetown for "beer geeks", this is what I've come up with:
3.5 gallon batch
1.072 OG
1.024 FG
6.24% ABV
IBU 39.22
4 lb American - Pale 2-Row
2 lb German - Munich Light
2 lb American - Caramel / Crystal 60L
1 lb American - Chocolate
8 oz American - Black Malt
8 oz American - Roasted Barley
4 oz Flaked Oats
0.5 oz Centennial (60 min)
0.5 oz Northern Brewer (20 min)
0.25 oz Northern Brewer (10 min)
0.25 oz Northern Brewer (1 min)
Does this look alright? I thought a lb of Chocolate malt was a lot but the website says lots of chocolate malt and I do remember that taste in the beer I had. What would you change?
