Hi all....in San Diego for a few days. Does anyone happen to know where I might find some Pliny The Elder in town? Never had any and hope to find some!

Thanks!!

From personal experience:

On tap, check out Urge American Gastropub in north county. You can google their website, they update their tap list every day. They have Pliny quite often.

In the bottle, visit Distiller's Outlet in Poway. You have to ask the guy running the counter if he has any in the back, because there won't be any on the shelves. These guys know craft beer and have an AWESOME selection, regardless of whether they have Pliny or not.

Otherwise, download the TapHunter app and search for it :cross:

Holiday wine cellar in Escondido may have it, and as long as we are talking north county, try the pizza port bottle shop- in Carlsbad. You can't go wrong at any of those establishments. And, while Pliny is incredible, there are all sorts of beers in San Diego county that you can't get anywhere else and are even more local- Pliny is from Santa Rosa, which is Northern Cali, and almost like another state!

Thanks guys!

Any other recommendations from more local breweries? Had Ballast Point Sculpin and one from Green Flash. Both very good.

Check out Modern Times Brewing, Benchmark Brewing, Monkey Paw Brewing, or any of the Pizza Port locations.

+1 to Modern Times and Pizza Port. I love both.
Also, find Duet and/or Nelson from nearby Alpine Brewing. Two of the best IPAs you'll find.
Pliny is great, for sure. But if you're in SD, you're surrounded by great local beer.
