Props to jagoffbrewer for that painkiller beer. That's my favorite cocktail and he nailed it.

Also that Sierra/weihenstephaner wheat beer is awesome.

I didn't like the Painkiller beer much, and I thought I would. I was bummed about that.

But the new batch of Whole Punch: Hawaiian with the tweaked recipe is pretty nectar. Much better than the one they did back in the fall, IMO.

Sounds like the no limit on sign ups per day turned out to be an issue. They had to lower it to 2pp for sign ups tonight and tomorrow and only 20 per day.

O well there goes any chance I had. Was planning on swinging by tonight, but somehow I feel they have already signed up 20 people. Does the above mean that everyone who signed up prior to today is still able to get 4 bottles?

I believe they underestimated the demand. I can see how they may have thought it might not be overly robust considering the style. The wee heavy doesn't always bring all the boys to the yard.

I’m pretty sure bg could release barrel aged water in a limited release format like this and still sell out. If any sort of quantity specified or pp/limit is announced for a beer released in the greater PGH area these days you better believe there will be a line full of knuckleheads with fomo.

I actually did not check this in on Untappd yet, but IV was extremely enjoyable, and I would like to drink this side by side with III to determine which of BG's anniversary offerings is my favorite. For me, it drank similar to III, with a larger barrel presence (still very smooth) and a subtle oaky finish. The sweetness was more muted here than I was expecting, but then again, I'm not very familiar with this style of beer.
