I for some reason always thought the owls club was a private club when I drove passed it. I definitely feel I missed out on the homestead experience now.

It is. "Private". Same way the Polish vets in South side was or castel in Bloomfield (although castel always seemed a little stingier with their memberships).

• Liquor bottles must have the little price tag on so the professional drunk behind the bar knows how much the bourbon no one drinks costs

So Jack's is so low hanging fruit (fruit on the ground?) that no one mentions it? Met the wife there, so it'll always be number one in my heart. I mean, their boneless chicken sammich is three hard boiled eggs...get it?

Things are getting weird in the South Side. It's literally so busy no one goes there anymore on the weekends...

15-ish years ago I went to the Warsaw (now Rock Room) to drop off a demo & hung around to grab some lunch & a beer. Before long a young woman I hadn't seen before walked in the door, clearly drunk, wearing a bikini top & cut-offs, carrying a beer bottle in one hand & a muffler in the other. It was a weekday.

I didn't see a ton of them popping up on my feed though. I believe the only guys I saw checking them in were Beerwanderer Stigs and nhindian

I was up in Meadville and thought they were very good.
The one with the Russian name was was much drier than black magick, I couldn't ask for anything more more in a BA stout.
Black Magick was a little bit hot but I'd guess that it'll come around after a couple of month in the bottle.
BA quadfather was great as always.
I really enjoyed the unbarreled Black Magick with vanilla and cocoa firkin as well.

The newest black magick is exactly what you would expect 4 roses black magick to taste like - on par with all other recent black magick barrel iterations.

Zangy is pretty awesome. Even though its a little higher in alcohol than black magick, it doesnt taste any more boozy than BM. I felt it was a little less sweet than BM and had more layers of barrel character.

Unbarreled black magick is the hero noone seems to talk about. I love its smokiness and would kill to take some of that home in a future barrel room release.
