I think Matt Dillon killed Denise Richards with a Madam Rose in Wild Things.

The Dray Laig PG article has some choice LOLZ material.

"That’s one reason that this rural location appealed to Mr. Hock, who likes the easy access to local produce. “The terroir here is better.”"

"Assistant brewer George “Goose” Kepler is bringing home a long-term project that started with pineapple and coconut and has spent time in rum and wine barrels that they want to serve in small glasses — due to an alcohol-by-volume higher than 20 percent."

Nothing says "Pittsburgh terroir" better than pineapple and coconut.

I like the new logo?

Agreed. Whoever's been in charge of their label design in general over the last year or so (pretty much ever since they changed bottle formats) has been killing it. I actually liked their goofy old labels too (reminded me of some of the smaller Belgian breweries), but pretty sure the newer ones are a drastic improvement from a broader appeal standpoint.

Edit: Just realized your comment might've been sarcastic.

A lot of the new labels were designed by Savannah (she's in there bartending all the time)

One would think...but no, I actually do like it. And I agree that some of their more recent labels have been fun. I recall ISO'ing a couple empty and well-rinsed bottles of some of them. Grimace comes to mind.

Haha, yeah I was actually just about to ask, was Savannah responsible for Grimace?

I got to try Grimace. You were correct in being ISO of the bottles post-emptying.

You make it sound like a privilege. I think you must mean "was tricked into trying" or "was hog-tied and forced to consume"?

My wife likes Goedenacht, so we stopped there to get her one. It was when you and I had the conversation about the Grimace bottles and it was on tap, so I said **** it, let's ride.

It kinda tasted like purple Kool-Aid, but in a way that's less appealing than it sounds.

Listen...I don't need your long-winded explanation with references to what was and wasn't said and by whom. Just admit you're a glutton for punishment...of the high-ABV-sour variety

Lemme guess...in a high-ABV-sour purple Kool-Aid kinda way?

It wasn't sour at all. Just sweet and purple.

I wonder if they'll change names again when they decide to jump on the lager bandwagon.
There is no way it wont be called Draai Laager. Lagers aged in hand dug caves under the allegheny river with traditional ingredients such as pistacio ice cream, locally grown pomegranates and smegma cultred from a hyper local millvale artisanal transient known as Simon Dirrty.

DL will never be the same as it was with the millvale terroir. I can't wait for the clowns on fb posting iso's for discontinued DL stuff.
