That sucks. I was drinking beer at Dancing Gnome when this happened.

kbuzz hey guy. I did in fact move. Kinda fell off the beer train too hence not being on here. But I’m back in town for the weekend and thought to check out He thread and see what’s up. Same ******* ******** I see.

Anyone try that new place in Lawrenceville? Dude from Solemn Oath owns it or something?

Hahaha Jesus that was like 3 yers ago at this point! No plans during the day today and tomorrow if you’re around.

Off today (but with three kids)...not sure where I'm getting to, but do plan on putting some effort to steal time for a proper drink. If only breweries in town opened before 7PM on weekdays.

Was in Shadyside last night furniture shopping with the Mrs. and we stopped in at Market District. Pretty happy to see that "triple barrel" Big Bad Baptist and Big Bad Baptista there.
How much was that triple barrel? I passed on it in Michigan for $22

I've heard two reviews, one was awesome, one was terrible.

It's funny because we are pretty much the first generation of beer peeps when it comes to hyped releases, waiting in line, etc. If even just a small portion of us continues this hobby as we get older, brewery exclusive events in the year 2050 will look like bingo night at a nursing home.

"Dad, it's your daughter. I was driving home from my night shift and saw grandpa sitting outside of the bar in his wheelchair at 5 am. It's 20 degrees outside."

Not as bad as paying a $1 an ounce for BG fruited saisons. Plenty of people had no problem dropping 144 on a case

If I saw a fruited saison on the shelf somewhere for $24 for a 750ml I wouldn't really think that much of it, TBH.

I would. $1/oz is my usual limit. And I rarely spend that on something I'm not 99% sure is gonna be awesome.

True dat. I find myself uttering, "I am too old for this ****" way too often anymore.

I should be more of one, honestly. I spend haphazardly at times. I will say though (and I know we've had this discussion before and it's just a matter of opinion), but it bothers me less when it's contributing to a local business where I know and like the people in charge. I'd rather give that money to BG or Voodoo than say... Westbrook or someone of that ilk.

Their Mexican Cake set this year was $340 for 10-22oz bottles. At $34 a bottle, that's a tough pill to swallow even for me.
