I should be more of one, honestly. I spend haphazardly at times. I will say though (and I know we've had this discussion before and it's just a matter of opinion), but it bothers me less when it's contributing to a local business where I know and like the people in charge. I'd rather give that money to BG or Voodoo than say... Westbrook or someone of that ilk.

Their Mexican Cake set this year was $340 for 10-22oz bottles. At $34 a bottle, that's a tough pill to swallow even for me.
I really liked bourbon Mex cake so I'd probably pay that for one single bottle, but no chance I'd buy 10.

This excerpt from Dennis' latest gobbletygook beer description is a microcosm of why DL beers are so bad:

"Last fall Andy and I were talking, and during our conversation he asked me if we have ever heard of making beer from "Green Malt". I explained to Andy I've never heard of it, but would be willing to give it a try."

The man committed to making a beer with something he had literally never heard of before.

"I have no ******* clue what you're talking about, but let's do it!! People buy all our stupid **** no matter what."

Every time i drink plain ol' Big Bad Baptist I find myself wondering why I chase other BA coffee beers. Yes, others are better, but it is damn good and the price is typically right.
I recently opened a bottle from last year that was clearly infected. Anyone else ever have this issue with them? I don't know much about their production - do they make several BBB batches a year?

I have not, but can say they produce it year round so there are many batches per year.

Who's Andy? jagoffbrewer?
Also, I like that his never having heard of it required an explanation.

Maybe a pilot batch before trying to pass it off as worthwhile to spend money on?

Oh no. They never get the benefit of the doubt from me. I only spend money there if I hear from someone whose opinion I value that it's worth buying.

I misunderstood.

I thought you were saying that maybe Dennis actually took the step of piloting the ingredient, thus giving him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was a sound brewer. But it sounds like you were more so suggesting that he should use a pilot batch.

Not this years, but about six months ago did a vert/horizontal hybrid that included some ‘15s and ‘16s—base and different iterations; two of the 6–7 were definitely infected. Strong bandaid taste, urinal cake on the nose.

kbuzz hey guy. I did in fact move. Kinda fell off the beer train too hence not being on here. But I’m back in town for the weekend and thought to check out He thread and see what’s up. Same ******* ******** I see.

Anyone try that new place in Lawrenceville? Dude from Solemn Oath owns it or something?
ur a traitor for moving, a cheapskate for getting out of beer, a fool for coming back to pgh.... and a pussy

i think that's all i had to say

Beer express sold out in less than 30 mins.

Guys that worked there were pissed. Said some dude was camping out there at 10am and was texting his friends when they were setting up and they didnt even announce it until that post at 1145. They think some employee is telling his friends.

I called last week and asked when they were getting it. When they say 'next weeks truck', a little research will tell you what day their Founders truck shows up.

I dont think it was as much the guy himself as him being there telling others about it before they announced it themselves.

I just had an Impossible Burger at Burgatory. Holy **** that thing was good.

Love burgatory. Go custom next time though.

I do Bison with onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, cheddar, lettuce & tomato. Always delicious. Havent been there since the spring, I should stop soon.

3 and false. The 9-5 job kills any chance of BE releases.

I hear that.

I was lucky last week that my boss was traveling and team member was out sick so I was able to go out a couple times and hit a couple spots. Only got one bottle though. Really want a second. Not sure if its worth trying to fight traffic over to sav mor at 5. I have a feeling nothing will be left.

I did go custom. I’ve just been wanting to try the Impossible Burger for like 2 years now. Pretty cool to see it here.

Anyone know the legality of locking my kids in the bathroom of my hotel room?
I think as long as you leave fresh water & some food for them they'll be fine as long as their howling doesn't disturb other hotel guests.

These are the guidelines I follow for my dog, I assume children are the same only harder to housebreak.
