We’ve been wanting to do this for a while now. If you know Tröegs, you know The Mad Elf, the mischievous Belgian-style ale that helped put our little brewery on the map. In early November, we’re releasing the director’s cut. Demerara sugar and tart Balaton cherries – loads of them – make all the difference. Bottle-conditioned and flush with notes of cinnamon and clove, this beer begs to be shared. Take a bottle home, gather your best friends and cherish the cherries.

I had no idea what that beer was either. It said "Grand Cru," but then said "ale brewed with honey and cherries." But that's just like regular Mad Elf, right?

So I had to go elsewhere to see what made it "Grand Cru."

Not even a hobby account. For some reason I started reading this thread a long time ago and just sort of still do. I like the people here. Greg is nice, there's rollerblade guy, the cat lick, Shuggy blows, Pipers is cool, and now I know what a Giant Eagle is.
