What is the best thing on the menu at Pork and Beans?

Entree: Tri-Tip or Pastrami Belly - Side/App: Pig Ears & Mac n Cheese (best I've had)

We should start a Pgh food truck appreciation thread. I tried Blue Sparrow for the first time on Sunday and their ramen burger was ace. I've also been destroying Brasereo Grill's steak and kielbassi burrito.

Ate 5 Brassero tacos for dinner on Saturday and had no regrets (until the next morning).

Very little from what I've seen. Lustra and infinite Highway this Wednesday, case limit per person. Jam and Better next week.

I fed a pig ear to a bulldog one time. He chewed on it until it was soft enough to swallow whole.

Eh, I think folks are more realistic over here and also value community over just "trading". I also think the hype train has rolled on by MBP. I know I was in the minority here, but I've always said RBM > MBP.

Didn't have anything to do with the whole value question, it was just more of the whole argument that ensued over it a while back.

But I don't know WTF people are doing like 99% of the time when they thread **** on trade posts in this place.

For this site specifically there were a few folks who became the MBP trade police and thus that beer carries around a reputation on here.

As for "value", I give up. I was thinking about ratings and comparisons the other day and tried to think about it from the brewers perspective. It is kind of odd to have someone critique/rate every single piece of work you do. I couldn't imagine every job I do at work getting a score out of 5. "That competitive assessment you did Greg was great! 4.5/5". "Your product launch in the Netherlands was not to style, 3/5".

You wanna talk about line, try to find pictures of the line for Bottle Logic 10 minutes before opening yesterday for the start of Week of Logic. It was absurd.

I don't even have to look to know it's a **** show. I'm saying Pittsburgh doesn't need that level of a release to get in a line and pass around a few coffee mugs around.

Side note: Is New England style become an official term? I've seen breweries all over saying NE style IPA instead of just IPA.

I enjoyed this first round. Heard it was more citrus this round. I remember it being lots of strawberry and kiwi notes. Was it a super small batch that it kicked that fast and reason for limited growler fills?

Yeah it was only a 5gal keg, that was the only reason it kicked

Fresh MBP is still one of my favorite beers ever. Sadly, the last bottle I opened was pretty tart and lost a lot of the honey and maple that evened out the smokiness. Same with the last tapping at homestead, but not as bad as the bottle. Bacon fudge brownies turned into cherries in an ashtray. There were also big chunks of black mass in the bottoms of our glasses after we dumped it. I think the people who have recently traded for their first bottle, or had it on tap at Huna are experiencing the latter, which is why it is getting a bad reputation lately.

It sucks because that beer in its prime holds its own against most of the big boys out there, and those people will never experience that and just write it off as an overhyped flavor of the week. It also fuels the fire when people put bottles like that up for trade before it is even released and ask for the world, because then they want to hate it before even having it. Sadly enough there are tickers out there who will trade for a hyped beer just for the satisfaction of shitting on it, whether it tastes good or not.

I drank my MBP maybe 6 weeks or so after the release and I honestly think it was the best beer I've ever had.

OG Rare has held my top spot for a while now but when I had MBP, it was only a hair behind it. Since then, FO jumped MBP in my top 3 but I still really, really enjoyed MBP.
