On the subject of friendliness at breweries, kbuzz and I met up in Southern California when we were both on work trips a few months back. We hit up Bottle Logic and both Bruery locations out there. We both agreed that at all spots the staffs were completely friendly, polite and super professional. I came to the conclusion that was because weed is legal in California. So what I’m saying is we need legal weed in Pennsylvania so our breweries can have a chill staff. That is all. Have a super day!!

are you familiar with the effects of marijuana? (aka "WEED")

i once had a clearly stoned kid literally drool onto my chicken teriyaki sub at subway as he was making it

I actually think Dancing Gnome is operated by extremely nice people across the board, and they make NEIPAs that are not only distinguishable from each other, but are distinguishable from 90% of other NEIPAs that are currently brewed across the Country.

I just post otherwise to rile up Nate so he participates more.

Not that any of you lager lovers would care but unfiltered, unpasturized pilsner urqell being tapped at shadyside, waterworks, robinson, pine MD, south Hills MD and Donaldson Crossroads at 4pm on Aug. 31st at 4pm. Growlers and glasses. Saw that Shadyside_beer tweeted it. Unfiltered means haze right?

My hot take: can market saturation. There is only so much $20/4-pack buying power and at this point there are 47 releases a week across multiple breweries, most of whom have acceptable substitutes.

Also, Beerwanderer there had better be service with a smile when I come to drink my “old” unfiltered unpasteurized Pils Urquell.

Did you lay eyes on that line for Lustra Day?

It's not a Dancing Gnome can so I'm sure it will. Right MooseLang?

Sheeeeit Dancing Gnome did a DIPA release on Saturday and they still had cans left yesterday. The hype is dead!

I will give Dancing Gnome this - Their NEIPAs are just as good as Other Half, Singlecut, Burley Oak, Aslin, Answer, Monkish, Triple Crossing, Southern Grist, et al

Indistinguishable.

Because it was 3 in a day with a new “triple ipa” along with a popular double that was hyped last time.

True, and fair. There probably is some fatigue. But even still, I doubt they're crying the blues if it takes 3-4 business days to sell 150 cases.

No idea what the case count was like, but Hitchhiker Sharpsburg sold out of Whole Punch cans that same day in less than 2 hours I believe, so a lot of product is still hitting the streets one way or another.

Buddy's in South side just posted that they got two different Funk ipas. I've had nothing but fantastic beers from them. Definitely going to grab some today or tomorrow. They're usually cheap too, like $12/6pack.

I'm sorry but that beer was an atrocity. It almost burned as you drank it. It wasn't the bitterness...I love the bitterness and wish most IPAs had a little more. It was something entirely different as if there was too much hop particulate still in suspension. I do enjoy Lustra but Double Lustra was flat out bad. I can't imagine a ramped up version of it being better.

Never had it, but I really enjoy Lustra (after the week rest after buying it).
