God, I forgot how much a twit Sabtos was/is. Glad I only go over to that site to check out the bad trader threads.

What ever could you mean? He's a **** from Ohio who encouraged an out of towner to go to DL and avoid Voodoo. Seems like totally solid advice...

... if you're trying to troll someone?

I'm going to have to come back soon. I'm craving Pages Dairy marts Nancy B's cookie sundae. If you have never had it, treat yo self.

Don't be so dramatic the building is strange **** pale beers.

The thing is that I think he has a point about Voodoo... At least to a certain extent. I don't really love their location and on many days, I do find their taplist to be a little "meh".

THAT BEING SAID, because I know kbuzz is seething...

If you're an out of towner and you're coming to Pittsburgh with the desire to get a sense of the local scene, there's no way you don't visit Voodoo. It's a staple and it's more than worthy of a visit. It's an unrealistic expectation for them to always have Black Magick or something on tap, but that doesn't mean someone who's never been wouldn't find plenty there to enjoy.

I respect your opinion and the way in which you've presented it.

I also respect lighter pale beers and basic Belgians that some might consider to be meh or boring. RAF(respect as ****)

Only those who eat paste read Paste.

Anywho, I thought E&D1 was pretty damn nice.
I actually don't think I had that one . Pretty cool they placed so high. I really love batch 2 of the Table beer. That list is a bit of a **** show though. Funkwerks and Avery Perzik saison place better than Arthur and Bam Biere has me wandering if these people have ever had saison before this Blind tasting.

Yeah I'm with you. I'd have Arthur top 3, maybe #1.

I thought for sure you'd be commenting on Hennepin.

I think the other factor here is that I think their "house" yeast strain is probably a combo a a bunch of different bugs and the ratio changes wildly from each pitch. The only way to control that is with a laboratory. The true lambics producers leave it all to chance so I think dl follows that model. The big difference is that cantillon, 3f, etc dump a large percentage of bad batches, dl just adds seafood.

AND the big difference is in the blending. Thats what makes good lambic producers good.

I need to revisit Anna. I've only ever had it once and it was a good 2-3 years ago. I've never had much desire to chase it knowing it takes the same amount of effort to get Arthur instead of which I keep at least 4-5 on hand at any given time. Arthur is damn near the perfect beer for my tastes.

Holy crap that DL party on the other site turned fancy last night.

DG Agricolis on tap at Pipers, tasting like heaven's tits.

I have an Anna if you want it. Worth revisiting for sure.

Please tell me that someone had the decency to chime in on how all Pittsburgh beer is bad, & to insult everyone's intelligence using the language of a 65-year-old shop teacher.

HFboards and BA, could there be a more hellish combination?

According to that dildo on BA if you don't like that combination you don't like hockey, beer, or fellowship.

Please tell me that someone had the foresight to chime in on how all Pittsburgh beer is bad, & to insult everyone's intelligence using the language of a 65-year-old shop teacher.

Shuggy showed up with a weird avatar and said something about dicks but i didn't really read it.
