I've seen it first hand over the last three years. This site goes so far beyond beer. People helping people get jobs, start businesses, sending baby/wedding gifts, generally lifting each others spirits if someone is in a **** mood. I've been doing the whole internet forum thing since 1999 and none of them come close to TB.

Only since 1999? #newinternet

Alright, I'll take your word for it and I really hope it ends up being true for our group of misfits. I just need to stay out of the trade forums here.

Dang. Hope his in laws are as cool as mine. Though my father in law drinks all my good beer.....
My father in law drank iron city his whole life, and now he's astounded any time he tries a good beer. He doesn't care what style it is, he's generally impressed with any beer that has flavor. It was cool at first, but occasionally I'll come home and be missing like 6-8 bottles of something good in my fridge.

Homebrew related stuff guys.

Citra+The artist formerly known as trois+ 2lb per gallon of fresh pineapple equals a tropical mess of a beer.

Shuggy gave me a lot of pointers on this one.

I'm interested in trying this. You wanna do a homebrew swap sometime?

Anyone know anything about the lesser known breweries on here? Anything I should definitely hit up?

Good lord... Soccer talk?

giphy.gif

I kid, I kid... Well, I do really hate soccer, but if you guys wanna talk about it then rock out with your bad selves.

This is exactly the sort of reaction I expected tbh. And wow. NPH made that look a lot like the actual thing. Disturbingly violent:eek:

What a nice show that was, if we don't wanna do soccer talk.

I'm looking for 2 tix for beers of the burgh today. Can trade beers or cash. PM me for beer list.
Edit: managed to find these on Facebook

Honestly, any excuse to post that gif is fine with me. He really did an amazing job with it.

It does seem like soccer is gaining popularity in this country though. It's just not my thing.

Can you share any more deets on this? Grain bill and such?
85% canadian pale
7% flaked oats
2% honey malt
2.3% cara vienne
3.5% sugar
Lots of late hops keeping IBU's around 40.
Citra, mosaic, chinook, columbus.
Citra dry hop
Racked onto 11lbs of fresh pineapple after primary for 7 days.
co2 racked to keg.
TROIS yeast.

That sounds delicious, but I'm incredibly partial to both Citra and pineapple.
I'm very proud of this one. The pineapple did add some acidity also, which really lends it to drinking like pineapple juice. Next batch is gonna be getting some toasted coconut and possibly some vanilla and lactose if I wanna go Milkshake on its ass.

Soccer is a great sport but hard to follow not have a standin interest in teams I have no connection to in another country. Mls is horrible but do have a good time if I go to a crew game. But there is nothing better then World Cup soccer best sporting event in the world.

I have more fun watching my 12 year old son play soccer than any professional game. I never blinked at soccer until my son got into it. Now, I am hooked. I watch Barclays almost every week (not really following any team in particular). Going to see Real Madrid this summer too. Being so close to the sport now, I appreciate how much more difficult it is than I ever thought. Love watching soccer and drinking beer :)

And now...back to beer. For those from Pittsburgh, how often are the Voodoo barrel room releases? When do you think we can expect the next release? :)

Question.

How long of a drive is it in Pittsburgh terms from HitchHiker to that Target, Giant Eagle and Trader Joes? Also from that area to Spoonwood.

Says 3 miles between them but that could be daaaaaaaaays
