I haven't been here long. But I wish this was a sticky or a warning before I made a single post. You are spot on. A lot of edginess.

I like the part about grown adults hiding behind memes. What a weird thing. I think they have institutionalized "thread crapping" as the norm.

I'm hoping after your initial culture shock you will settle in nicely here. You are taking things waaaaaay too seriously man. Lighten up Francis and try to have some fun :)

Most of this site doesn't even discuss beer (site name is misleading). I'm sure you have other hobbies. Go explore! :)

Dear Beers of the Burgh Goers;

We will be pouring Bane of Existence IPA and Petal and Brine a Saison with Hibiscus, Honey, and Sea Salt. I also may or may not have a sixtel of our anniversary IPA which will surely disappoint you and leave your mouth tasting of decomposing fish. If you see me ball tap me, I'm into that. Otherwise a high five will suffice.

Love,

Andy

Like this post if you're going to the kickback bottle share tomorrow at 7pm so that I can get an idea as to how many people will be there (about 7 from facebook will be attending). You don't have to bring a super whale, but try to bring something nice that other's might be interested in trying. I'll be bringing a tete de cuvee, '14 huna, '14 pugachev's cobra, '16 foolery, '14 sierra nevada BA maple stout, and possibly another bomber.

I plan on limiting the tete pours to ~2-3 oz per person in order to maximize the amount of people who get to try it. Cheers!

I know this isn't huge trade bait... but I had a Wicked Weed/Jester King collab last night called Parking Lot.

Foudre fermented Grissette. GD was it good.

Firmly tart, and super dry with tantalizing rustic fresh cut hay earthy notes as well as some slight fruity notes from the dry hops....

I wasn't expecting the beer to be great... but it really was.

May not make it til after beers of the burgh. Also not sure what I'll be bringing yet, but I'm sure I can find some fun stuff in the ol' cellar.

Sounds fantastic. Where'd you get it? Is it available at WW?

It was as of a couple weeks ago. A girl I work with was there. She didn't realize where she was. Had her pick me that up cuz I never heard of it, and didn't realize they did a collab. Was incredibly surprised by that beer.

Wish she could have picked me up some Skillet Donut cans at Burial, but they didn't have any. Probably the best coffee stout I've ever had.

Srs. Wandering over here at 330AM with nothing but weak provocation just waxes pathetic, like some abusive alcoholic stumbling home late, removing his belt and looking for a mismatch.

Go rub one out to your tattered collection of SEARS catalogues and blow the dust off those high school trophies. You're sleepy. Ignore the nighttime pesky doubts of self worth; drink deep and take solace: people who lack emotional depth rebound easily--maybe it'll only take a "lol" and for some buddies to like your post, before you're on top again.

I'm starting to understand what the bros. were trying to avoid.

I would still rather have this then my and others comments deleted at will. I had Jackie O's latest version of Cool Beans yesterday courtesy of thebouch01 and thought it showcased the coffee nicely. That's my version of an after dinner coffee drink.

The disallowing of comments on trade proposals was always going to be a double edged sword. I get why they did it, but I also get how in a way it was damaging. You do see more laughable proposals over there from people who are either trying to get away with something or don't know better... But you also don't see the type of unnecessary conflict that occurred in the thread that started this whole mess.

Moderation is always done best in moderation.

Keep telling yourself that.

I've seen it first hand over the last three years. This site goes so far beyond beer. People helping people get jobs, start businesses, sending baby/wedding gifts, generally lifting each others spirits if someone is in a **** mood. I've been doing the whole internet forum thing since 1999 and none of them come close to TB.

Ouch. Great post. A bit melodramatic and definitely full of the vitriol you guys were wrongly accusing everyone of yesterday; but great.

Thanks. Melodramatic? Maaaaybe. For satirical effect and funnies is all. The cyclic accusations might get us stuck in a Möbius Strip of shame if we're not careful. Smooches.
