Get ******.

He's not wrong. The fact that you ****** bags are coming in here just to be ****** bags is a prime example. So, in short:

BTW, if anyone is interested, I had a guy reach out to me about French Vanilla Militia for MBP 1:1. If this is of interest to anyone in here, PM me and I'll give you his info.

It is an amazing showing of *********gery of those who come in here to troll/mock or whatever your doing and the minions who follow them just to like their posts. In all honestly I think most of you non-Pittsburghers are just butt hurt because MBP is almost unattainable for you. It's worse than a political debate on Facebook at election time except it's beer politics here.

Nah dude, it's not lambic so it must be ****. Excuse me while I masturbate to a picture of a '99 Boos bottle.

HA!

I am in Pittsburgh for the weekend. Haven't been on this site much since Friday. Skipped like 10 pages in this thread.

What'd I miss?

TLDR: 4x MBP is not equal to CCK. Someone got called out for not know what CCK is but pretending he did. Dudes fed on him like sharks. Many jimmies were rustled and some circlejerks were had. The PGH thread took a hit due to all the stuff in that thread. I hate trading. Make the Pittsburgh thread great again. Dumpster fire. Let's go Pens, **** Tampa.

The vast majority of the people coming in here to talk **** lately have dozens of bottles in their cellar that would pull MBP with zero problems. The main thing that pulls people out of the woodwork like that here is profiteering off of beer, working together to try to drive up the value of beers, whining about not being able to get more rare beers, etc. Or talking **** about how this week's instawhale that you happen to have is what makes everyone else jelly. Trust me, next week there will be a "new MBP" and in a few more cycles you'll find far fewer people throwing all their bottles at what is probably a really good beer because they'll be onto the next thing.

Drink good beer. Send some to people who have beer you want to try. Build up some regular trading partners and even friends and you'll end up with far better (and rarer) beer than you get via profiteering (unless you go the mule group route, which is a totally different thing).

There are plenty of ****** pockets here but there are also amazing pockets of community -- far more than I experienced in years on BA (I'm sure they were there too but I found them harder to find). It's up to you whether you seek them out or stay in one thread and talk **** about the rest of the site. Every time I've poked my head in here there have been a bunch of people who seem like the kinds of posters I want to avoid even though it seems like there are also some fine folks in here too. If you're the kind of person who only wants to maximize the value of the beers you have access to, you're probably going to get a frosty reception on this forum -- that's just how this community works.

MBP is the only "it" beer to come out of the area.

My brother still rags on me for not going in on an allocation with him. Although I'm glad I didn't, because I would've traded one for Peche N Brett or a Lou Pepe Gueuze or Hill Farmstead Saisons and then gotten scolded by strangers online.

MBP to Pittsburgh is the ******' Mule on a Spinning Wheel

I think you are wrong. Almost all of these guys are actually good people who wanted to be able to shoot the **** without being censored. Voodoo releases provide some people access to beer they really wanted to try and yes, unfortunately with trading you get the annoying discussion of value.
We have local Pittsburgh Brewers involved with this group of posters which is awesome. We all just hate beer together. I'm sure people will discuss elsewhere eventually, but you just have to give it time. Just don't talk **** about Head Hunter with this group.

I hate beer.

I'm not sure which part you're objecting to, but my point was that people weren't talking **** because MBP is "almost unattainable".

If you're objecting to cellaring ... I mean I have a bunch of stuff I've saved up to share with people or just haven't felt like drinking yet? Some of it goes for a lot on the black market if that's a thing you care about. I have very little in my cellar compared to a lot of beer nerds. Not sure what's objectionable here.

I could be wrong, sure, I mean I don't know everybody in here. I'm just sharing my perspective on where the reaction is coming from.

I adore Head Hunter so I guess we're cool there.
