PID with proportional control

Hi, I am looking for a PID that could control boiling. I have bought this one: Mypin (ta7-snr) 72*72 Size Digital Pid Temperature Controller With Ssr Output - Buy Temperature Controller,Bimetal Thermometer,Temperature Sensor Product on Alibaba.com

Unfortunately I just found out that it doesn't have a manual or proportional mode required for boiling. Anyone has a suggestion for that? As a plus, if it can be the same size (72*72), that would eliminate the need to cut out another hole.

Thanks, but I forgot to add that the SSR to be driven requires 24vdc. This controller seems to be outputting 8vdc from what I read.

Which SSR do you have? Most of them have 3-24V input range.

After looking again for the SSR to be driven we will change for a model that supports 3vdc-24vdc for the trigger. this one:

So the first one you suggested should work. Still looking at it , I can't find where it says that it has a manual mode. Where did you see that it had a manual mode? my Russian isn't very good and sometime the translating messes things up.

I have experience with XMT612 and can confirm it has manual (proportional mode) XMT617 should be same but bigger form factor.
