Hey guys brewed a patersbier the other day from nothern breweing with the Trappis yeast and it only bubbled over night i never seen it bubble but I can see that it did through the bucket it left a film about 3" over the top of the beer and there is about a 1/4 inch of yeast sitting on the bottom. the airlock has been still for 5 days now and I'm kind of worried about this. Is this normal.

Thanks Gregg

Take a gravity reading first off. Also, the Trappist HG yeast can chew through that measly patersbier grain bill in no time. If your gravity has dropped, then yes everything is normal.

PS, the patersbier is phenomenal. Perfect summer beer. Light enough for the non-beer drinkers and flavourful enough for the beer geeks.
