I need to make a starter this weekend and I discovered that I have a 3year old can of FastFerment. Has anyone got any experience of using old cans of this stuff? It’s in a can - so - I’m hopeful it would be ok. Would be interested in learning whether there are success/horror stories out there.

Not sure what this is referencing. The only "Fastferment" product I've heard of around this board is the plastic conical. Google did not result in anything but the conical either.

Is what you have a blend of yeast nutrient, a yeast blend, or some blend of water salts/minerals?

Yes - i did mean FastPitch! So sorry. This is what comes from posting with inadequate caffeine.

Ok - thanks - maybe I’ll just go the old fashioned route and make a wort with some dme to be safe
