I'm jealous, it sounds like an amazing beer based on their description, http://www.thebruery.com/beer/cuir/. I recently bought a couple 2012 Smoking Woods, one Rye and one Bourbon. Both were really good but the Rye one definitely had some lactic acid character. The higher ABV usually helps ward off those kinds of issues. Even if it's not perfect I bet it's still pretty good.
