.. I've got a couple of 2nd year rhyzomes, and they have multiple bine shoots coming up.

Last year, I just had one string for the bine to climb, should I hang a separate string for each shoot? Or just one per rhyzome and let them all work together?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I just want to see what you guys have to say.

With a second year plant I would still use at least two lines to allow the bines spread out and capture the sun. Also you could let two bines climb each line. If more than 4 come up I would prune the smaller ones.

After the crown is established.....common practice it to train 4-6 bines per crown and 2-3 bines per string. I myself have been traing 6 bines per crown (3 per string) and getting generous harvests.
