People are arsed about this stuff? I mean I thought it was vagely amusing I had a bunch of beers brewed on wife's birthday....but people would seek out a beer 'cos of a date?

You lot are ******* weird. Srs, weird.

It's just an excuse to hoard copious amounts of lambic. Chill.

I find it weird that if there was one for my birthday (I haven't checked), it'll be like my 28th or 31st birthday or something. So it wouldn't be significant anyway.

However I thought I was 33 for at least two weeks after my birthday this year (turns out I'm only 32) so I guess birthday's just ain't my thing.

But what if it's a gueuze on the actual birthday of my son. Now that has to be cool..... Right?

I can see him downing this on his 16th birthday and telling me it tastes like ****.

I'm a sucker for oddities. I've searched out mislabeled bottles, bottles with random dates (halloween st. lam for example), hand written dates, etc. a bottling on my birthday just seems like it'd be an interesting thing to look at. whatever.

I'm also a sucker for bottles that have meaning to some random event in my life. For example, the first "a-ha" moment I had with lambics where it went from "yeah I like this style" to "holy **** this is my favorite style" was when I purchased a bottle of St. Lam at Monk's in Philadelphia. I was out with my then gf (now wife) and her roommates. She's a huge IPA head and was getting down on Pliny. This was several years ago (2009) and St. Lam was only $30 for onsite consuption. None of them liked it, so I faced the bottle. I took a picture of the bottling date. A few years later I tracked down another of the same bottling date, and probably will never crack it. It's just an associated item to a memory. Probably the only bottle on my "never trade/never drink" list.

01/23/2015 is listed on the website for 750ml, but there's also some 375ml and it's not listed.
